The Godfather of Ska. Today is the anniversary of his passing in 2005 aged 78.
His backing band on this release was none other than the Ruts DC and I had the pleasure of seeing him play at the Hammersmith Odeon more than 30 years ago supporting Mod Revivalists Secret Affair.
