37 Years Ago Today...
23rd April 1976 was the day The Ramones released their debut album on Sire Records. It cost $6,400 to make over a period of seven days and contains 14 songs that come in at under 30 minutes! There's no guitar solos, no pompus musical arrangements, just plain old rock and roll played at breakneck speed.
It was an album that for many changed their whole musical landscape and 37 years on it still sounds incredible.
"Hit it Dee Dee...1-2-3-4!"
